Self-Reflection

Before I started this course, I thought of English class as a boring subject where we harped on literature and grammar. Needless to say, this is by far my favorite English class during my schooling career. I like that the class is very dependent upon technology, and I like that there is interaction through blogs. I feel like this is a more important and more relevant English class in today's society. I feel that my wrtings have gotten a little better, and I was pleasantly surprised, with how little trouble I had writing an essay that was 8+ pages. I feel that my essay came out great and I am very confident in my work. i feel that the midterm portfolio was stressful, but that is because I was not aware of the due date, and I was not experienced in using Blogger. The course has started my interest to blog. I think i will create a personal blog and blog a lot in the future!

My Remix video

Kanye- Obama Remix

I chose a remix of Kanye West's Stronger, in which some one put in sound-bytes of President Obama. I chose this remix because I think it is very funny, and I think it is cool how someone was able to find sound-bytes to remake the song to the beat. The way that I often see remixes is in the music industry. Many remixes include the original artist with other artist added to the same song.

Peter's UGC Content

Peter"s UGC Vid

Let me start off by saying this was not my first choice of content to pick, but everything else I was gonna use is filled with curses. The video is a parody of Nelly's "Just a Dream" named I have to pee. The beat is the same but the words and the point of the song are completely different. The only point for the video is to be funny and it is effective in that. Usually putting younger kids in videos make it funnier and this video may not be as funny, if it was an adult. It would be nearly impossible to publish this kind of content on television. For it to be published it would be extremely costly and reproduced.
